I have been involved in wine and the wine industry for over 40 years and have developed an immense love for it, which I would like to share with you.

This extensive knowledge was acquired while working at the largest liquor producer and distributor in South Africa, Distell where I worked with premium wine brands & wine estates and I am fortunate to be able to include in this repertoire, a knowledge of brandy and whisky.

Some of the brands I worked with include: Allesverloren from the Swartland area, Alto , Neetlingshof, JC Le Roux, Fleur du Cap, Jacobsdal and Zonneblom from Stellenbosch area. Nederberg, Durbanville Hills and Plaisir de Merle are also included along with Pongracz (MCC).  Van Rhyn brandy, Three Ships and Bains whisky.

I have maintained and extended my knowledge by joining 4 Wine Clubs in Somerset West and Stellenbosch and this gives me the opportunity to taste extensively and broaden my horizons in the wine industry.  I will take this opportunity to mention that I also managed my own wine club for years at The Bergkelder.

I am a Cape Wine academy graduate, a member of Cape Town Tour Guides Association and Stellenbosch Wine Routes

It would be remiss of me not to mention that I am also a fully qualified Western Cape tour guide with a Public Drivers Licence, Road Transport Permit and insurances to carry passengers.
